7 DAYS MT KILIMANJARO CLIMBING/MARANGU ROUTE

Leaving your coastal hotel early morning arrive at Taita Taveta border at 10:00hrs and continue to Moshi for lunch. After lunch relax have dinner and overnight.

After breakfast start climbing the mountain though fascinating rain forest till you reach the first hut called Mandara, meals and overnight at the Hut 9000feet.

After breakfast start to climb as follow the ascending path through the alpine meadows. The attitude begins to change and slow down your pace while enjoying the flora and view at Mawezi and kibo peaks. Arrive at Horombo Hut 12kms from Mandara meals and overnight at the Hut (Horombo) 12,335 feet.

After breakfast resume the climb the landscape becomes rugged and rocky and laborious appear. Meals and overnight at the hut (Kibo hut) 15, 520 feet.

The beginning at the last ascent is made in the wee hours of the morning while the scree is still frozen. Climb the very steep part of the route to Giilmans point (most difficult and tiring part).
UHURU PEAK is reached within an hour walk along the crater rim (19,344 feet) 5895 meters.
Start the descent to Horombo hut for overnight

Return to a hotel in Moshi after lunch rest the day. All meals and overnight at your hotel

After breakfast depart your next destination which is optional either

2. Kilimanjaro international airport
3. Arusha
4. Nairobi via border town Namanga
5. Return to your coastal hotel
